The SmartCap received a Senate seal of approval in August at a special Cooperative Research Centre exhibition in Canberra.

The exhibition, hosted by Senator the Hon. Kim Carr was part of National Science Week, now in its 14th year.

SmartCap CEO Kevin Greenwood joined CRCMining CEO Professor Mike Hood and representatives from more than 20 CRCs in exhibiting "stand out" projects developed by CRCs.
